Major projects completed
- Earned media coverage around the 2021 Maine AmeriCorps funding announcement.
- Produced Sept. edition of "Volunteer Fare" monthly newsletter.
- Collaborated with Program Officer for Volunteer Initiatives to create awareness campaign around the Maine Volunteer Leadership Conference using social media and the monthly interview series, "Issues."
- Produced episode four of "Issues," which will highlight Maine Volunteer Leadership Conference presenters.
- Produced and ordered updated print materials for outreach initiatives.
- Began Maine AmeriCorps Photo of the Week social media feature as another effort to bring awareness to AmeriCorps service in Maine.
- Established social media accounts for the Maine Volunteer Foundation.
- Collaborated with the Maine Volunteer Foundation board to produce a two-part strategy to announce the first gift to support the Maine Service Fellows initiative.
- Produced and shared shorter video clips from the August episode of "Issues" to help bring awareness to the key points of the COVID-19 impact survey.
- Secured a vendor to assist in the execution of collecting photo and video of Maine AmeriCorps programs to be used for promotion and recruitment by both Volunteer Maine and the respective programs.
Issues to be aware of
- Due to some longer-than-anticipated timelines in the production of "Issues" as well as print/outreach material updates, several goals for the month listed in the August report were not accomplished. Those goals have been rolled over to October for execution.
Major focus of effort in the next month
- Continuing work to develop a plan for a long-term AmeriCorps recruitment campaign that targets potential gap year students as well as individuals looking for a change in career.

- Planning for AmeriCorps Launch (induction) in November.
- Collaborating with Program Officer for Volunteer Initiatives to create awareness campaign around results of COVID-19 volunteer impact report.
- Collaborating with Program Officer for Volunteer Initiatives to bring awareness to 9/11 Disaster Preparedness Grant service projects.
- Producing episode five of "Issues"
- Phase one of announcing the Maine Service Fellows program gift to the Maine Volunteer Foundation.
- Investigating feasibility of ordering AmeriCorps gear and swag for distribution to AmeriCorps programs.
- Collaborating with the Communications Task Force to restart planning and production of the "Service Instigator" public service announcement campaign. The campaign will lean heavily on the approach of behavior change marketing.
Other activity
- The next report ad value and match generated by public service announcements is due to Volunteer Maine by Oct. 15.
