Volunteer Maine encourages Maine volunteer leaders to pursue this credential through the self-study program and exam. The Commission supports individuals working on their CVA by partially funding the registration and exam cost through Volunteer Maine's Professional Development Fund.
The Council for the Certification of Volunteer Administration (CCVA) administers this program which is the only international professional certification in the field of volunteer resource management. CCVA promotes and certifies excellence in volunteer administration to advance the capacity of communities to effectively engage volunteers.
