GTF Meeting Minutes June 13, 2026

Chair William Guindon opened the meeting by confirming attendance and noting that a quorum was present. He reminded members that the Grants Task Force's role is to review continuation grant applications and make funding recommendations to the full Commission for final consideration and approval.
The Task Force considered continuation funding recommendations for five AmeriCorps programs.
The following motions were made and all passed unanimously:
- Motion to approve continuation request for Main Street Skowhegan at 8.0 MSY and $201,600. Kelly Day moved approval of the recommendation. Ed Barrett seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously and will be forwarded to the Commission with a recommendation for approval.
- Motion to approve continuation request of Hospice Volunteers of Somerset County at current levels of 2.2 MSY and $55,440. Diane Lebson moved approval of the recommendation. Ed Barrett seconded. The motion passed unanimously and will be forwarded to the Commission with a recommendation for approval.
- Motion to approve continuation request of White Pine Programs at 2.0 MSY and $50,400. Ed Barrett moved approval. Diane Lebson seconded. The motion passed unanimously and will be forwarded to the Commission with a recommendation for approval.
- Motion to approve continuation request of Alpha Legal at 4 MSY and $100,800. The motion passed unanimously and will be forwarded to the Commission with a recommendation for approval.
- Prior to entertaining a motion, the Chair noted for the record that staff should continue assessing the program's performance measures and follow up on their request to remove a performance measure.
- Motion to approve continuation request of Goodwill of Northern New England at not more than $523,400. The motion passed unanimously and will be forwarded to the Commission with a recommendation for approval.
