Communications Task Force

PRESENT: Chair Jennifer Tilton-Flood, Maria Staples, Bryan Roche

Attending members of the Communications Task Force utilized the October meeting to discuss efforts surrounding the Maine AmeriCorps 25th anniversary celebration on Friday, Oct. 11 and the Maine Volunteer Leadership Conference on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Bryan Roche, Volunteer Maine communications officer, presented a summary of media outreach efforts for both events. Additional items mentioned during the meeting:

  • Roche opened the meeting by reminding those in attendance that as of Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Maine Commission for Community Service has adopted the identity Volunteer Maine. Roche also redistributed a copy of the presentation he was asked to give during the Commissioners' Annual Retreat on Thursday, Sept. 26. A PDF of the presentation can be accessed by clicking this link.
  • With the two major events over, Chair Tilton-Flood requested a meeting with Roche to discuss future initiatives for the Taskforce.
