Major Projects:
- Onboarded into Volunteer Services position March 19.
- Began creating connections and collaborating with National Governor’s Association partners including Maine Rural Water Association, Department of Outdoor Recreation, Maine Youth for Climate Justice, Bangor Municipal Water, Bangor Public Works, and the Department of Labor
- Met one possible Executive Director choice for Maryalice’s position
- Reviewed documentation, grants, background information, and ongoing reporting for Maine Service Fellows and the National Governor’s Association Service to Career Policy Academy.
- Presented information to workforce partners and AmeriCorps site supervisors around the NGA’s Service-to-Career Policy Academy.
- Tabled at the Maine Sustainability and Water Conference and created connections for the Maine Service Fellows
- Interviewed candidates for Service Fellows position.
- Confirmed keynote speaker for Maine Volunteer Leadership Conference in August
- Met with the full Commission Board and passed policy on allowing current graduate students whose programs require a capstone/thesis/internship/externship to apply for the Maine Service Fellows
- Conducted screening interviews for Maine Service Fellows and filled Deer Isle/Stonington and Van Buren. Began onboarding those sites and Service Fellows for start dates in May and June.

- Collaborating with National Governor’s Association and the Green Employer’s Cohort on Service to Career Pathways and training opportunities
- Recruit Service Fellow applications for Machias and Cherryfield sites.
- Connect with Maine Volunteer Foundation.
- Tabling at the Climate&ME Youth Climate Summit – increase engagement with youth programs for the Climate Corps Network
- Conduct Maine Service Fellows site visits
- Next virtual Climate Corps Network meeting
