The following blog post is part of our Serve In Maine blog series, where we at Volunteer Maine put a spotlight on AmeriCorps service members to highlight how they use their skills to step up for Maine communities. Photo courtesy: Greater Portland Council of Governments

AmeriCorps Resilience Corps members are helping the Greater Portland area bounce back from the pandemic. Every year, members help local municipalities and nonprofits with climate change response, public transit, racial equity, broadband access, and much more. But don’t just take our word for it.

The first cohort of Resilience Corps members wrote personal reflections to detail lessons and skills learned while serving. Please check them and see through the eyes of AmeriCorps members making a Maine a better place one day at a time.
