Projects completed:
- Completed 2022 Annual Report and sent to print.
- Completed second draft of Maine Climate Corps One-pager.
- Collaborated with Prog. Officer for Volunteer Sector Initiatives to promote and provide internal coverage on social media of Governor's Awards for Service and Volunteerism
- Sorted and publishing media from Maine AmeriCorps Member Conference
- Sorted and publishing media from Governor's Awards for Service and Volunteerism
- Administrative duties for MVF April meeting, including meeting minutes and document packaging for Board.
- Troubleshooted audio issues plaguing live stream Commission meetings with new audio equipment. Time also spent learning to properly operate new equipment as well as working with IT to get the correct permissions.
Issues to be aware of:
- Task Force Reminder: Roche met with Chair Jenni Tilton Flood in March and established a plan to resume Task Force meetings on May 9, 2023. The new standing meeting date will be the second Tues. of each month from 10-11 a.m.
- A concerning media outreach trend: When attempting to earn coverage for AmeriCorps Member Conference as well as this past month's Governor's Awards for service and volunteerism, TV stations expressed interest in covering both events but in both occasions passed due to staffing challenges. This information should be considered when strategizing for any future coverage.
Upcoming areas of focus:
- Communications Officer transition planning: Proses documents, file organization and training information for new hire.
- Expanded Climate Corps booklet, which will include one-pager.
- Investigating protection of "Maine Climate Corps" name.
- Tweaks to Maine Service Fellows digital recruitment campaign and collaborating with MSF Coordinator to continue to improve outreach efforts.
- PSAs for general volunteerism.
