Climate Corps Coordinator: February 2024

Major Projects:
Developed and reviewed content for microcredential Introductory Volunteer Management course; also contributed to marketing plan for new course.
Attended Maine Climate Council Resiliency Workgroup meetings; contributed to strategy/action recommendations for incorporating climate resilience in emergency management. 
Program development and outreach for a Green Schools Climate Corps/AmeriCorps program. 
Co-host Hall of Flags National and Community Service Day with Climate Corps, AmeriCorps, and Senior Corps programs; event directly followed by Maine Climate Corps Network meeting. 
Hosted Facilitation training with Sea Grant instructor and AmeriCorps program members and staff. 
Released Maine Climate Corps RFA, conducted outreach and led info session. 
Planning for Maine Water and Sustainability Conference session; serving as co-chair for session. 
Attended UMaine Career Fair in Orono to represent Maine Climate Corps and National Service. 

Ongoing:
Continue to support Maine Climate Corps grantee with program development and operation and reporting. 
Met with contacts in government, Maine organizations, and national service programs. 
Supporting Maine Service Fellows located in Dover-Foxcroft and Sipayik
Attended ASC Climate Corps workgroup.
Attended staff meetings and trainings.
Follow up on invoices and reimbursement requests. 

Upcoming Project Focus:
Continuing to meet and have calls with representatives of Maine organizations, national service, state government, etc. 
Participate in Community Resilience Climate Council workgroup. 
Manage Maine Climate Corps Network including opening for new program applications; supporting recruitment efforts. 
Support Maine Service Fellows and develop plans for additional host sites. 
Finalize Volunteer Management MicroCredential Course content.
Review applications for Maine Youth Climate Corps RFA. 
Attend training with Permanent Commission on Tribal, Racial, and Indigenous Populations
Present and attend at Maine Sustainability and Water Conference
Visit Climate Corps grantee for final site visit. 
Co-host second session of Facilitation training
