    1. United Ways is still deciding how to integrate their work into ServeMaine and will be having a meeting beginning of October
    2. Reaching out to VOAD to determine current agencies and interested in signing up
      1. Any organizations that should be reached out to more personally for ServeMaine?
      2. Food security groups/organizations – Kelsey will speak to Bill
      3. Janet – Rehab counselors, Day programs looking for volunteer opportunities, disability service organizations
      4. Kelsey – MALEM Maine association of local emergency managers
      5. Maureen – libraries

  4. AmeriCorps
    1. Member Conference Report Out
      1. High turnout for the conference 119 registered attendees
      2. Lower number of AmeriCorps staff
      3. Conservation Corps combined their end of AmeriCorps/life after AmeriCorps training and celebration with the Member Conference and helped to organize the event
      4. Even distribution of member participation in different sessions
      5. Difficult to pull folks back from the networking which was more unstructured
      6. Having the member conference in the fall and connected to end of service resonated with participants

    1. Maine Municipal Association Report Out
      1. Grant yourself a Maine Service Fellow – not all communities have the capacity to write grants in order to grant themselves a MSF
    2. Planning a retreat on November 13-14th in Van Buren  
      1. Brenda Zollitsch training
        1. Two separate trainings: Networking and a training on Resilience
      2. Fellows will be giving presentations to one another and other attendees
    3. Grant Yourself a Maine Service Fellow
      1. Build a Maine Service Fellow costs into grant applications that they’re writing ~50k per Fellow
      2. Feedback on this process is appreciated

    1. Climate Corps meeting with Sarah Curran
    2. Structure of the Maine Climate Corps program
      1. Maine Service Fellow vs. AmeriCorps structure
        1. State contracting system gives Volunteer Maine authority over contracts made with organizations that apply for Climate Corps using an AmeriCorps model
        2. Question of scale – AmeriCorps model would allow for more members in Climate Corps rather than Maine Service Fellow model
        3. Janet – what can it turn into?
        4. Maureen – who are you serving? Are there going to be multiple members serving in a single community – smaller communities do not have the capacity to manage so; who is already being served by programs such as GPCOG/ Island Institute/ etc.
        5. Michael – add Climate Corps as funding for formula grant
        6. Kelsey – part of the strategic plan determining different structures based on the funding that could be allocated towards Climate Corps
