Major projects completed:
- Complying with the continual requests for information from the Office of the Chief Risk Officer (OCRO) regarding their agency’s FY 2022 payment integrity assessment under the Payment Integrity Information Act (PIIA); the agency has requested information for the 18ACHME001 prime from Learning Works and Healthy Acadia
- Compiling grantee progress report data for the annual report
- Attended ASC’s call to go over the concerns and questions about the AmeriCorps diversity questionnaire
- Meeting with GPCOG’s finance administrator to discuss income report requirements and meeting with GPCOG’s program director to discuss Grantee Progress Reports
- Technical assistance for the REJ Level II DEIA Training
- Began the staff grant redesign process to ensure that our process is equitable while complying with the law and other regulatory requirements
- Meeting with UMaine COA to discuss slot changes and recruitment
- Sent out the close-out documents for 18ESHME001, the Maine Conservation Corps
- Complying with the OIG’s request for information about the Axiom program, the request was for all AmeriCorps member time sheets and progress reports
- Processing of PER’s and reimbursement request for all AmeriCorps programs
- Correction to the federal financial report for grant #18ACHME001
- Weekly AmeriCorps member conference planning
- DEI Committee meeting with Margaret Brownlee, the new Director of DEI and other DOE staff
Issues to be aware of:
- A few of the AmeriCorps programs are going to be “right-sized” by taking slots from them to give to the Maine Conservation Corps in order to respond to the Governor’s initiative to provide high quality marine ecology education to youth
- MEAP has a new program director, who won’t be full-time until the end of March or early April, and she will need to be trained on how to use the grant management platforms, eGrants and OnCorps
Major focus of effort for the next month:
- Developing civic reflection training material for AmeriCorps members for the second call
- Continued an ongoing review and process of Periodic Expense Reports (PER’s), Periodic Income Reports (PIR’s), Aggregated Financial Reports (AFR’s) and Grantee Progress Reports (GPR’s) along with corresponding reimbursement requests
- Finish setting up the ARPA funding codes and doing amendments to contracts
- Close-out of the 18ESHME001 due by the end of March
