TASK FORCE CHARGE.
The mission of the Public Policy Task Force is to—monitor government actions or plans that could impact Volunteer/community/national service.
—develop relationships with elected officials (state and federal) that keep them up-to-date.
—make recommendations to the full commission on responses or comments to federal policy changes or Federal Register notices that are significant.
—coordinate outreach by board members and provide them with the tools to deliver pertinent information.
—keep the board apprised of national, ASC, and state legislative developments.

Meetings of the task force are open to the public. The task force may also enlist the participation of individuals who are not appointed Commissioners.
