Major Projects:

Support intern on recruitment outreach plan development and implementation

Support and attend Maine Volunteer Leadership Conference and Volunteer Maine booth at Department of Education Summit

Support orientation and onboarding of new Maine Service Fellow serving with the Center for an Ecology-based Economy

Prepare to recruit host sites for new Maine Service Fellow placements.

Plan for AmeriCorps Handshake recruitment campaign.

Plan for Quarterly Maine Climate Corps Network meeting featuring the Maine Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program.

Plan for American Climate Corps Federal visit to Maine

Coordinate with GOPIF on NOAA Resilient Maine grant

Recruit new programs to join the Maine Climate Corps Network

Collaborate with Service Year Alliance on grant funding opportunities, including the Green Employer Cohort, a national program to engage employers and service programs and plan for meaningful credentials, training, and support that would place members in green jobs after service. Volunteer Maine was invited to participate and will receive a small grant to support member training.

Write report on Maine Climate Corps for GOPIF.

Support currently serving Maine Service Fellow, include a site visit to Collaborative Energy Commons in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.

Write 2024 report on Maine Climate Corps for GOPIF.

Ongoing:

Assisted Grants Officer with planning for AmeriCorps RFA

Met with contacts in government, Maine organizations, and national service programs.

Attended staff meetings and trainings.

Follow up on contracts, invoices, and reimbursement requests and reviewed budget.

Upcoming Project Focus:

Continuing to meet and have calls with representatives of Maine organizations, national service, state government, etc.

Host American Climate Corps Federal representatives for tour of Maine and meetings with key stakeholders.

Recruit host sites and members for new Maine Service Fellows cohort.

Host quarterly Maine Climate Corps Network meeting.

Support and attend Commission retreat.

Support and attend AmeriCorps 30th anniversary event.
