Program Officer, Special Volunteer Initiatives: Climate Corps Network

Major Projects:

  • Worked with Maureen on social media posts for Volunteer Maine
  • Maine Climate Corps Network Quarterly Meeting
  • Governor’s Awards for Service and Volunteerism Planning Committee
  • Meeting with representatives from United Ways to integrate VolunteerME and ServeMaine website data sharing
  • Determined the recipients of the Governor's Awards for Service and Volunteerism
  • Maine Sustainability and Water Conference tabling with MaineCAN
  • Writing the final report for the LD1433 study and conducting a validation session
  • Service Programs Task Force meeting
  • Determine funding allocation for Betterment Fund
  • Applied to Representatives Pingree, Collins, Golden, and King for Congressionally Directed Spending for a Maine Coastal Resilience Service Corps
  • Developed ServeMaine PSA
  • Attended MCCS and MOCA staff meeting and Commission Business Meeting 

Issues to be aware of:

  • Lack of PIO and Training Officer additional strain
  • Loss of Grants Officer

  • ServeMaine rollout and PSA development
  • MOCA Communications working group participation

  • Finalization of LD1433 report and submission to legislature

  • GSA planning committee
  • MVLC planning committee
  • Helping with Maine Volunteer Foundation
  • Soliciting sponsors for the GSA’s and MVLC as well as volunteer support for these events
