Program Officer, Special Volunteer Initiatives: Climate Corps Network
Major Projects:
- Worked with Maureen on social media posts for Volunteer Maine
- Finalized soft skills development training with Maureen and Brenda
- Hosted the final quarterly meeting for Maine Climate Corps Network
- Closed out/finalized payments for the Green Employer’s Learning Cohort with Service Year Alliance
- Finished interviews of relevant partners and stakeholders for the Higher Education Corps Feasibility study associated with LD1433
- Service Programs Task Force meeting
- Developed materials for the Governor’s Service Awards for sponsorship
- Worked with Michael and Maureen regarding the redistribution of Michael’s responsibilities as he is retiring
- Gave feedback on DOER Energy Navigators proposal that will open for public comment
Issues to be aware of:
- Michael retiring at the beginning of January
- Lack of PIO and Training Officer additional strain
Major focus of effort in new month/Ongoing:
- Recruit programs for the Climate Corps Network
- Collaborating with GOPIF and DOER on Energy Navigators program
- Record retention for Volunteer Maine
- MOCA Communications working group participation
- MaineCAN leadership steering committee and conference planning group participation
- LD1433 Higher Education Corps Feasibility Study Interview analysis and development of quantitative survey for students
- Increase social media presence/visibility
- Planning for the 2026 GSAs and MVLC conference
- Taking over Volunteer Managers Network meetings
