Climate Corps & Maine Service Fellows Director

Major Projects:

  • Hosted American Climate Corps Federal representatives for tour of Maine and meetings with members and stakeholders.
  • Recruited host sites for Maine Service Fellows placements and developed applications and service plans.
  • Advertised Maine Service Fellows new positions.
  • Hosted quarterly Maine Climate Corps Network meeting with representatives from Department of Labor speaking about pre-apprenticeship and registered apprenticeship programs.
  • Attended Commission retreat and board meeting.
  • Attended AmeriCorps 30th anniversary event and service project.
  • Spoke to NH Legislative Study Committee exploring a NH Clean Energy, Community Resilience, and Conservation Corps.
  • Attended Green Employer Learning Cohort meeting.
  • Processed new and renewed MOUs for Maine Climate Corps Network.
  • Finalize report on Maine Climate Corps for GOPIF.

Ongoing:

  • Met with contacts in government, Maine organizations, and national service programs.
  • Attended staff meeting.
  • Follow up on contracts, invoices, and reimbursement requests and reviewed budget.
  • Supported Maine Service Fellows: reviewed timesheets, reports, and met with Fellows.
  • Attended Resilient Maine Steering Committee meeting.
  • Hosted Climate Corps Task Force meeting.

Upcoming Project Focus:

  • Continuing to meet and have calls with representatives of Maine organizations, national service, state government, etc.
  • Close out Climate Corps Small Grantees
  • Attend Maine Municipal Conference to meet public officials and educate about Volunteer Maine opportunities.
  • Develop applications and service plans for Maine Service Fellows host sites.
  • Recruit Fellows to serve in MSF.
  • Attend quarterly Resilient Maine meeting
  • Finalize MOUs for new and renewed Climate Corps Network programs.
