For those who have registered, the information below provides details on the workshop series and an upcoming training schedule.

Do you want to build youth engagement in your organization? Come join us to learn how to empower youth to impact issues in your community.

This professional development series is designed to prepare participants to implement a high-quality service-learning project by using tools and strategies from the KIDS as Planners Guidebook. High quality is defined by the eight K-12 National Service-Learning Standards: Meaningful Service, Partnerships, Youth Voice, Links to Curriculum, Reflection, Diversity, Progress Monitoring and Duration & Intensity. Projects developed through this program will help build relationships between youth-their peers and adults, build youth competency around issues that your organization helps to identify and develop agency in students to impact local problems.

All participants will receive free training, coaching during planning and implementation and a copy of The KIDS As Planners Guidebook as a resource for developing a high-quality service-learning program. Youth in your programs are also eligible to apply for up to $1,000 in mini grant money. Generously donated by Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation.

Participants must commit to all trainings.
