Major projects completed:
• Securing the Hall of Flags and Blaine House for the future Celebration of Service event in June
• Participation in the Truescreen records retention update that was hosted by the Federal Agency
• Meeting with the Secretary of State calls about the potential transition
• Meeting with Governor’s staff to prepare for an AmeriCorps swearing in/Governor’s Service awards in June of 2024
• Participation in the AmeriCorps State & National grantee/Commission call(s)
• Contact with DAFS to assess where KVCAP’s unpaid reimbursements requests are at in their process
• Assisted DOE Program Manager with AmeriCorps start-up by providing templates for positions descriptions, service opportunities and member agreement
• Grants Task Force working session discussion and wrote up the minutes
• Virtually attended the 2023 Symposium on Public Policy for Nonprofits
• Working with DAFS to assess where Maine Conservation Corps’ unpaid reimbursements requests are at in their process
• Planning meeting with Program Officer and Climate Corps Coordinator for the upcoming Commitment to Service at Viles Arboretum
• Meeting with new program and finance director at Maine Youth Alliance to discuss reporting requirements and check in on recruitment efforts
• Sent out Continuation and Instruction Parameters to the Department of Education and GPCOG
Items to be aware of:
• Continuations are due at the end of the month of October from GPCOG and the DOE
• DOE/CDS does not currently have any members and is actively recruiting
Major focus of effort for the next month:
• Review and approval of all compliant grantee progress reports that will be submitted at the end of the month
• Scheduling site monitoring visits with DOE and MYA to assist with their start-up year, reviewing member files and discussing any questions that the new program directors may have
• Archiving close-out documentation for multiple AmeriCorps programs
