  • Completed Maine Climate Corps: Inspired by History, Designed for Today
  • Supported presentation to Joint Committee on Environment and Natural Resources
  • Reached out to contact list about Maine Climate Corps implementation bill and expected timing of public hearing 
  • Continued conversation with the University of Maine System on developing a Coastal Zone Corps

Issues to be aware of

  • There is a still a lack of response from tribal communities, even with direct outreach from Esperanza Stancioff and Rep. Morgan Rielly

Major focus of effort in the next month

  • Gather support for Maine Climate Corps implementation
  • Continue to develop Coastal Zone Corps program with Training and Program Development Officer, Michael Ashmore, and the University of Maine System
  • Build a basic outline of a curriculum for all potential Climate Corps programs
  • Begin building a plan for micro-credentials within the Maine Climate Corps
  • Plan the future work of the Climate Corps Coordinator
  • Develop further understanding of Corps programs from application to implementation
  • Continue brainstorming and planning climate corps programs
  • Continue working with organizations to establish administrative leaders of Climate Corps branches
